Anyone who has yearned for a clean house can attest to the seemingly supernatural properties of dust. The menace of dust can extend beyond the realm of housekeeping and damage health in serious ways. The most vulnerable family members are the youngest. Infants whose organs are still developing are up to 100 times more susceptible to the health hazards of dust-borne pollutants than adults.
UV-C light is a Germicidal light that generates low grade radiation. It deactivates the DNA of dust mites, destroys bacteria, viruses, allergens, mold and fungal spores and other harmful pathogens.
Hygienitech, founded in 1999, was one of the first companies to incorporate UV-C light into a compact, portable extraction device that can safely be used to eradicate harmful contaminants without the use of harmful chemicals or toxic disinfectants.
Ultraviolet light is classified into three wavelength ranges:
UV-C- from 100 nanometers (nm) to 280 nm
UV-B – from 280 nm to 315 nm
UV-A- from 315 to 400 nm

Most of us were conceived in bed, born in a bed, spend approximately 25 years in bed, and will probably die peacefully in a bed. Three most important functions to human life; heartbeat, breathe, and sleep. Getting a good night’s sleep is using common sense, you cannot find sleep, sleep has to find you.

Tiny microscopic creatures called dust mites are an important cause of allergic reactions to house dust.. Their fecal particles are found in the highest population of pillows and mattresses. They float into the air when anyone vacuums or disturbs bedding, but settle out of the air once the disturbance is over. A dust mite allergic patient who sleeps for 8 hours every night spends one third of his life with his nose in direct contact with a pillow loaded with dust mite particles.
Dust mites are second only to pollen in causing allergic reactions. When dust mites grow, they shed their skin. The skin and feces are what cause allergic reactions in people.
